National Condom Week is one of the UK's leading sexual health campaigns. Organised by Durex, its aim is to educate young adults about safer sex, to raise awareness of the risks and to reinforce that using condoms is the only way to protect against both unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections.
This year, National Condom Week will take place during the week commencing 4th April, 2005 and will focus on delivering this message through sexual health professionals, both in family planning and genitourinary medicine clinics.
For National Condom Week, Durex have sent a series of powerful, clear and straightforward Facts booklets and mini posters to around 4,000 healthcare professionals. These identify the problems and how they can be avoided while still enjoying a full, healthy sex life. Written in everyday language, the booklets make it clear that routine condom use is the best way to protect sexual health and that, far from diminishing the pleasure of sex, condoms can enhance it.
Any healthcare professional who has not received a NCW pack by April 4th can request one by emailing their details to hcp@durex.co.uk |
