We've included a list of some of your frequently asked questions below. However, if you have a question which isn't listed below please contact us and we will be happy to help.
Do Durex have any condoms for latex allergy sufferers
Durex have a range of non-latex condoms that may be suitable for latex allergy sufferers. If you would like to know more about these products please contact us.
How can I find out when a condom was manufactured?
All Durex condoms have an expiry date and lot number displayed on both the pack and individual foil wrap. These dates and lot numbers are given to the condoms when they are manufactured. The date of manufacture can be worked out by taking five years from the expiry year date shown on the pack or foil.
Although you can tell when the condom was manufactured, it is not possible for us pinpoint when a particular batch of condoms was actually purchased.
Can condoms be used in the bath or swimming pool?
As far as we are aware no research has been carried out into the use of condoms underwater. There is more of a change of the condom slipping if you use underwater.
Chemicals such as chlorine and bath oils in the water may damage the condom.
Are condoms suitable for vegetarians and vegans?
Natural Rubber latex condoms are suitable for vegetarians; they contain an ingredient called casein (milk derivative) but no other animal related products.
Our non- latex condom (Durex Avanti, Real Feel, Fetherlite Ultra and Deluxe) are free of animal-derived products and suitable for vegans.
Do Durex condoms contain spermicide?
No. Our condoms are lubricated without spermicide.
